A bit about me...

I'm a freelance make up artist and wig maker from London, who studied BA (Hons) Makeup for Media and Performance at Arts University Bournemouth from 2019 to 2022.

I've always had a creative flare and eye for detail and I'm very meticulous when it comes to my work. I have a background in art which then my interest for being a make up artist came with that.

I currently work as a makeup artist (freelance) and wig specialist/assistant manager for a specialised hair loss company in London. I also work with independent wig companies that specialise in real-human hair wigs for cancer and alopecia patients from time to time.

How it all started
I remember going through my mum's makeup bag at a very young age and playing around with Chanel lipsticks and Clinique eyeshadows. I was hooked with the idea of what you can do with makeup from then on. I would watch films and TV shows and think 'How on earth has that person been turned into an alien or a monster?!' As I've always enjoyed art, I thought about how I could combine my artistic side with my love for makeup, and so becoming a MUA seemed obvious to me.

My role as a freelance make up artist & wig specialist

Art is a subject you can be limitless with as there are no boundaries to what you can create. With makeup and hair creativity, there are also no limits. There's a lot more to the job of an MUA than just applying a bit of blusher or mascara.

I specialise in make up, wigs/postiche piece making and painting with oil paints, however I love to be creative with all areas of makeup/hair creativity. I'm a fully trained and experienced artist who loves a challenge and is willing to try new ways of utilising my skills.

Working alongside other creative individuals in different fields has allowed me to explore what areas of the industry I prefer and which materials/products I enjoy using more than others.

Understanding the fundamental basics of makeup work is vital for knowing what 'works' on different people. Lots of practice allows for comfortability and confidence with any application, not just for yourself, but for the model or actor who you're working on. Making someone feel beautiful, powerful or like the particular character they're playing, is something that I strive to achieve with every application.
